At the Radhe Shyam Foundation, we shelter over 50 dogs, many of them large and with few adoption prospects, in a natural space in Empordà where they live free, cared for, and safe.
About Us
A work that began privately and grew into a foundation
The Radhe Shyam Foundation was created to give structure, continuity, and transparency to charitable work that had been carried out privately for years.
Converting it into a foundation allows us to access institutional aid, manage permits, facilitate agreements with veterinarians, and ensure the continuity of a safe natural space for animals.
Non-profit
All help received goes directly to animal care and charity work.

Campaigns like Ukraine or the DANA demonstrated that there is a community willing to help.

Why big dogs
The last ones out, the first ones to get here
Many of our dogs are large because they have the fewest opportunities. In a society where many people live in small apartments, mastiffs and large mixed breeds are often the last to be adopted.
We offer them space, freedom, and care so they can live with dignity.

Where do they come from?
None of them arrives by chance
Every animal has a story. We take in everything from natural disaster emergencies to silent abandonments that no one sees.
What do you need
Every day, a huge effort
Maintaining the sanctuary is very expensive. Large dogs eat a lot, need more medication, and more veterinary care.
Feeding
Quality feed for more than 50 large dogs. The foundation's biggest monthly expense.
Vaccines and flea/tick medication
Essential health prevention to keep all animals protected.
Veterinary care
Check-ups, emergencies, surgeries, and continuous medical follow-up.
Farm maintenance
The property requires continuous maintenance to be a safe and dignified space.
Fencing and shelters
Structures that ensure the safety and comfort of all animals.
Transportation
Animal transfers, vet visits, and logistics for material donations.
